TAKING CARE OF BUSINESS ... since 1957
Dependable Services was founded in 1957 by the uncle of our Managing Director to provide a cost-effective, quality, replacement laundered towel service to local businesses.
During the next 20 years, we steadily expanded our client base and increased our range of services for the washroom.
In the mid 1970's, in response to a general demand for additional complementary services and a developing trend towards contracting out, we dramatically expanded our range. We introduced cleaning services, including daily office and window cleaning and one-off and carpet and upholstery cleaning. This was closely followed by the introduction of a complete range of janitorial and cleaning supplies, equipment and machinery.
Dependable Services had now become a TOTAL SERVICE PROVIDER.
Today, with an ever increasing service and product range maintained by hundreds of support staff, Dependable Services is established as a major force in the cleaning and hygiene industry.
The company remains privately owned and is controlled by the 2nd and 3rd generations of the founder's family who are totally committed to maintaining those highest standards of quality and service established 50 years ago.
We are proud to be registered as a BS EN ISO 9001:2000 accredited company across our whole range of services and supplies which, together with our many years of membership of the Cleaning & Hygiene Suppliers Association and the British Institute of Cleaning Science, our policies relating to equal opportunities, the environment and employee induction and training, ensures we provide a caring and dependable service to our extensive portfolio of clients.
We are honoured to have been awarded the prestigious Kimberley-Clark Golden Service Award 2001 for the Best Cleaned Premises by a Contract Cleaning Company (Education Establishment Sector) in November 2001. We have also been recognised in the 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004 and 2006 National Distributor of the Year Excellence Awards for providing service excellence in ALL areas.
Due to considerable expansion and coinciding with our 40th anniversary, we moved to our new 20,000 sq. ft. offices, showroom/cash & carry and warehouse facility in November 1997, where we are delighted to welcome existing and potential clients.
